i've decided the majority of the people i've come in contact with are complete morons. most people go on with their lives not worrying about what's happening in the world around them, only themselves. and that's really sad. for example:
ME: if you were as poor as me, you wouldn't vote for bush.
ME: if anything, taxes should be higher for the wealthier.
ME: but that's not how bush sees it.
A STUPID GIRL: neither do i
this girl also believes she knows what life is like for the not-so-fortunate because she's been on drug runs with her friends and also has "troubled" friends. so it's kind of like being guilty by association. too bad this isn't a court of law, bitch.
i really don't see how people can so carelessly look over such important things. it's amazing how many people don't know shit about the candidate they're voting for in the upcoming presidential election. i've heard everything from "fuck those towelheads! vote for bush!" to "anyone but bush! vote for kerry!" are people really voting for kerry just to get bush out of office? that's really fucked up. i've learned that most kerry supporters aren't really voting for kerry, they're voting against bush. it's depressing to know that this is what the election process has been reduced to. "pick the lesser of the two evils." i've heard that a lot lately. and i really don't know what to say to that. what are people thinking? wait, they're not thinking. and that's the problem. you're not thinking about the consequences that come from who your vote is for. go out and read into your preferred candidate and find out a little information about them before casting your vote at the polls in november.
and to the people who aren't voting.. you people are idiots. and i'm leaving it at that. you don't deserve a good lecture.
this entry isn't about debating the two candidates. that's not what i'm here for. i'm here to tell you to get off your lazy ass and figure out why you're voting for bush/kerry/green party/libertarian/etc. don't just pick the popular candidate. and don't pick bush or kerry just because that's who your friends are voting for. vote for that person because that's who you agree with the strongest when it comes to their ideas on what should happen in our country.
